Video: Ryan Fitzpatrick holding out on Jets and Tyler Eifert continues injury struggles

Hub Arkush and Nate Atkins discuss the continued headlines of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s holdout with the New York Jets, as he remains without a contract amid ongoing negotiations. The Jets have reportedly offered Fitzpatrick a contract worth around $8 million, which is just more than half his reported target of $15 million. The average salary for the NFL's non-rookie starting quarterbacks is $17.5 million. In addition, it appears the progression of Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert's ankle has hit a speed-bump just nearly four months following surgery. The 25-year-old tight end will have what multiple league sources tell the Cincinnati Enquirer will be a "minimal procedure," and the timeframe is reportedly three months for recovery after he initially injured the ankle during his first Pro Bowl trip last January.
